Graduated Frostburg State University and received a BS in Psychology in 2019. Began working as an RBT in Prince George’s County after graduation. I wanted to further my knowledge in the field of ABA, I earned a Masters of Education degree as well as an ABA Certification from George Mason University in 2022. I passed the Board exam and became a BCBA in October of 2022. I am so excited to be working with clients here on the Eastern Shore!
Kim is the Coordinator of People Analytics at Ocean Front Counseling. She began working with Ocean Front Counseling in December of 2009 as a direct support professional. In 2014 she began working in Human Resources at Ocean Front Counseling and in 2018 her position became full-time. Kim graduated from Liberty University in May 2013 with a Bachelor’s of Science in Health Promotion and earned her SHRM-SCP certification in December 2022. She is currently working towards obtaining a Master’s of Arts in Applied Behavior Analysis and hopes to obtain her BCBA certification in the future, with the goal of helping individuals maximize positive interactions in their natural environment.
Grant is the Financial Services Director at Ocean Front Counseling. He has assisted in payroll and billing processing for the past 15 years.
Stephanie is a licensed Psychology Associate in the state of Maryland and has experience working with teens and adults with developmental disabilities. Her focus is on developing strategies for individuals, families, and staff to help manage the challenging maladaptive behaviors that may occur by creating an individualized plan of action aimed at preventing behaviors.
After transferring from Pennsylvania State University, Stephanie earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from the University of Houston and a Master of Arts in Psychology from Cornell University. Stephanie joined Ocean Front Counseling in 2017.
Stacy is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker at Ocean Front Counseling. She graduated from Washington College in 2006 with her bachelor’s degree in psychology and sociology, and then went to obtain her master’s degree in social work from University of Maryland School of Social Work in 2008. Prior to working at Ocean Front Counseling, Stacy worked for the Department of Social Services working with at-risk children and families.
Stacy has been part of Ocean Front Counseling since 2014. She provides Behavior Support Services and helps coordinate the program, primarily working with adults with various Developmental Disabilities. Her role includes developing and implementing behavior strategies, providing consultation to individuals, families, and staff, and advocating as an involved team member to those she works with. Additionally, Stacy supervises and provides Family Consultation under Autism Waiver.
Jesse has been a part of Ocean Front Counseling since 2014. Since then he has been able to serve individuals, families, and partners across the Eastern Shore in the role of Behavioral Consultant. Jesse started his education at Frostburg State University where he received a Bachelors of Science in Psychology and a Minor in Sociology (2004). He then completed his Master’s of Social Work degree at Salisbury University in 2013. Jesse is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and is proud to serve the community that he grew up in. He started his career in Developmental Disabilities in 2007. Since that time Jesse has served communities as a case manager, outpatient therapist, crisis worker, and also worked for state and federal governments.
Jennifer began working with Ocean Front Counseling in November 2014 under the Behavior Support Services program servicing adults with various intellectual and developmental disabilities. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Speech Language Pathology and Audiology from Bloomsburg University, a Master of Education degree in K-12 School Counseling from Bloomsburg University and a Post Masters Certification in Applied Behavior Analysis from Florida Institute of Technology. Jennifer’s passion is to assist families and individuals with making pragmatic and meaningful changes to behaviors that will have a lasting impact on their lives. Jennifer became a Board Certified Behavior Analyst and Licensed Behavior Analyst in May 2018.
Kay attended Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA and received a BS in Psychology in 2006. She attended Capella University and graduated with a MS in Behavior Analysis in 2019. She became a Certified Behavior Analyst in 2020 and is licensed in the state of Maryland (Delaware does not require separate licensing at this time). She has worked with children and adults with developmental disabilities since 2004. She is a member of Association for Behavior Analysis International. Kay has been with Ocean Front Counseling since 2007.
Dr. Sharon Willey-Spurrier has over 40 years of experience working in the field of autism and intellectual disabilities. Dr. Willey-Spurrier began with her undergraduate degree in Music Therapy from Shenandoah College and Conservatory of Music and became a Registered Music Therapist. She later received her Master’s Degree in Psychology from Salisbury University and her Doctoral Degree in Psychology from the University of the Rockies in Colorado Springs Colorado. Dr. Willey-Spurrier has worked in both private and public psychiatric hospitals. She worked for 19 years as an Assistant Director of a large provider of day and residential services for children and adults with autism and intellectual disabilities, before starting her own company, Ocean Front Counseling. Dr. Willey-Spurrier then completed the Applied Behavior Analysis Coursework through the Florida Institute of Technology and Penn State. She then became a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst and a Licensed Behavior Analyst. As President of Ocean Front Counseling, she works with an excellent group of clinicians, Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) and support services staff providing services to over 400 children and adults with intellectual disabilities and autism. Behavior Support Services, Autism Waiver Services and Applied Behavior Analysis Services are provided in the nine counties of the Eastern Shore of Maryland, Anne Arundel County and in Southern Maryland. Services are currently being developed to provide Applied Behavior Analysis services in Sussex County, Delaware.
